These terms and conditions govern your participation in any Conference Design managed event; meeting; webinar; summit; convention, congress; or festival (‘2023 IIBA Festival’), on behalf of the Event Host (‘IIBA’).
By registering for the Event, you agree to these terms. If you are registering on behalf of another individual, it is your responsibility to ensure the person participating is aware of these terms and accepts them. By completing the registration on behalf of another individual you are warranting that you have made the participant aware of these terms and that they have accepted these terms.
Payment for Registration
Full payment of the applicable fee for the Event is due within 7-days of submitting your registration. If you are registering within 90-days of the Event you will be required to pay at the time of registering, using a credit card.
Currency and GST
All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD$) and include GST, unless otherwise stated.
Confirmation and Tax Invoice
Once you have completed your registration, you will be sent a confirmation email with a PDF Tax Invoice. Please ensure that your valid email is entered correctly on the registration form and check your junk mail folder in case your confirmation email(s) are caught by spam filters.
Festival Updates
Information for attendees will be sent electronically to the email address that is provided at the time of registration.
EFT Payments
Please include the EFT Reference shown on your Tax Invoice when submitting an EFT and email Conference Design the details including date, amount and your bank’s reference.

Credit Card Payments
Credit card charges appear as Conference Design Pty Ltd on your card statement. When using the online payment system credit card transactions will be processed directly by ANZ eGate and Conference Design does not store or transmit your credit card details. ANZ eGate is a secure and PCI compliant platform.
Registration Inclusions
Refer to the festival registration web page for inclusions relevant to your registration category. All other costs associated with your attendance shall be borne solely by you, and the Event shall have no liability for such costs.
Program changes
The Host and Conference Design reserve the right to change any and all aspects of the Event, including but not limited to, the Event name, themes, content, program, speakers, format, performers, hosts, moderators, venues, and times.
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights to the Event content, and all materials distributed at or in connection with the Event are owned by the Host, Conference Design, the sponsors, &/or speakers presenting at the Event. Participants may not use or reproduce or allow anyone to use or reproduce any trademarks or other trade names appearing at the Event, in the Event content, or in any materials distributed at or in connection with the Event for any reason without the prior written permission from the Host.
No part of the Event may be recorded, reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronically or mechanically, including but not limited to video or audio recording, photographing, photocopying or any other information storage or retrieval system known now or in the future, without the explicit written permission of the Host.
Limitations on Use
By registering for the Event, you agree not to sell, trade, transfer, or share your registration or Event access link and/or code, unless such transfer is granted by the Host or Conference Design. If the Host or Conference Design determines that you have violated this policy, Conference Design may cancel your access, retain any payments made by you, report you to law enforcement authorities, and ban you from future events.
Code of Conduct and Disruptive Behaviour
In registering for the festival, you agree to abide by the Festival Code of Conduct which is available at https://bapd.iiba.com.au
You acknowledge and agree that the Host and/or Conference Design reserve the right to exclude any person from registering for, or participating in, any Event. In addition, the Host and/or Conference Design may remove any person from and their access to the Event if, in their sole discretion, determine that your participation or behaviour creates a disruption or hinders the Event or the enjoyment of the Event content by other attendees.
Insurance
The registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. Participants are advised to take out appropriate insurance.
Neither the Host nor Conference Design covers individuals against the cancellations of bookings for any reason including cancellation or postponement of the Event or for theft or damage to belongings.
Registration Cancellation
Any individual registration cancellation requests are subject to the cancellation policy listed below and as agreed to when registering for the Event.
Registrations cancelled up to 90-days prior to the Event will be eligible for a full refund where the payment was made online by credit card. In all other cases, a $200 administration fee will be charged.
Cancellations notified within 90-days prior to the Event will not be eligible for any refund, however, another person may participate in the Event.
All registration cancellations for the Event must be advised via email to Conference Design.
Registration Changes
You can change from an in person to online registration if you are unable to attend in person and vice-versa.
Any individual registration change requests are subject to the change policy listed below and as agreed to when registering for the Event.
Changes from in person to online registration up to 30-days prior to the Event will be eligible for a refund of any difference between the in person and online registration rates.
Changes from in person to online registration within 30-days prior to the Event will not be eligible for a refund of any difference between the in person and online registration rates.
Changes from online to in person registration can be made up to 5 working days prior to the Event, subject to venue confirmation and capacity. You will be required to pay any difference between the online and in person registration rates at the time of requesting the change, using a credit card.
All registration changes for the Event must be advised via email to Conference Design.
Cancellation or Postponement of an in-person festival
The Host and Conference Design do not accept any liability for losses incurred (such as travel costs, hotel costs or any other costs or expenses) if the in-person Event is cancelled or postponed due to an unforeseen occurrence or any other occurrence that renders performance of the Event inadvisable, illegal, impracticable or impossible.
An unforeseen occurrence shall include but shall not be limited to: an Act of God; infectious disease outbreak, industrial disruptions, service provider failures, governmental restrictions and/or regulations; war or apparent act of war; terrorism or apparent act of terrorism; disaster; civil disorder, disturbance, and/or riots; curtailment, suspension, and/or restriction on transportation; or any other emergency.
COVID-19
The event will take place in accordance with federal and state government, and venue COVID-19 safety guidelines and protocols, and the Host and Conference Design will take all reasonable steps to provide a safe environment for all event attendees, staff, and suppliers.
In registering to attend the event in-person, you acknowledge that whilst all precautions are being taken to make the event COVID safe, there is a risk of contracting COVID-19 at the event, and you do not hold the Host or Conference Design responsible for any transmission at the event.
In person attendees are required to abide by all COVID-19 guidelines and protocols in place at the venue at the time of the event which may include but not be limited to social distancing, mask wearing and vaccination mandates.
Any delegates, feeling unwell or displaying COVID-19 like symptoms must not attend the venue.
Technical Disruption
The Host and Conference Design does not take responsibility for technical issues outside of our control, i.e. internet and power outages. Where possible we will supply backup solutions to avoid any prolonged interruptions, but this cannot be guaranteed if the cause of the interruption falls outside our jurisdiction.
Where a technical outage/malfunction is the cause for a temporary or complete failure to broadcast the Event, content will be made available to view online at your leisure (on-demand). Conference Design will make every effort to communicate with registrants regarding the technical outage/malfunction via the online portal or if the platform is unable to transmit communication, an alert will be sent via email, festival app or mobile text message, and posted to the Event website.
Moving to an entirely online event
Should the organisers believe, at their sole discretion, that a hybrid or in-person event needs to be held entirely online, all in-person registrations will be transferred to the online registration category.
Registration fees will be revised to reflect an online format and delegates will be refunded any difference between the in-person and online registration fee.
Refunds of in person registrations will not be issued due to an event moving entirely online.
Visas
Due to strict visa requirements persons participating in person from the countries listed below will not have their registrations and presentations confirmed until they have obtained a visa:
Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cóte d’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo, Cameroon, Kenya, Somalia, Iran, Pakistan, Algeria, Libya, Egypt.
Photography & Video
By registering for this event, you consent to having your photo and/or video taken and used for promotional purposes, this may include Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, IIBA Website, Festival Website & Email Marketing. If you do not wish to have your photo taken please advise the festival staff.
