Rob Li is a Senior Business Analyst at SEEK with more than a decade of experience across process improvement, agile delivery, and complex problem-solving. A CBAP and Six Sigma Black Belt, he has worked across not-for-profit, higher education, media, and digital product environments, helping teams turn ambiguity into practical, buildable outcomes.

Presentation: From User Stories to Multi-Step AI Agents: Rethinking the BA Role in AI era
AI is making it much easier to generate requirements content, but that does not automatically make teams clearer, faster, or better aligned. In many cases, the challenge is no longer producing more requirements faster. It is deciding what kind of requirement artefact is needed, how detailed it should be, how quality should be evaluated, and where human judgement still matters.
This session explores how requirements work may change in the AI era and what that could mean for Business Analysts. Drawing on current research and ongoing experimentation with multi-step AI agents, I will share a practical approach in which AI can help teams first choose an appropriate requirements format, then generate structured outputs, and finally evaluate them for clarity, completeness, and usefulness.
Rather than arguing for a single operating model, this session will examine several ways BAs can add value: shaping the process, improving quality, guiding trade-offs, and helping teams use AI more deliberately in requirements work.
