Presentation: Resilience for Business Analysts

Business analysts operate at the intersection of multiple teams, perspectives, and pressures, often caught between conflicting stakeholder demands, organisational resistance, and the weight of delivering complex programmes. This experience teaches resilience, but the path isn’t always linear. In this session, George draws on real experience navigating the challenges that test business analysts most: managing difficult stakeholders, weathering unexpected setbacks like contract terminations, and the vulnerability of searching for work while rebuilding confidence in your own expertise. George will explore how bridging multiple teams—a core skill of business analysts—can feel isolating when you lack internal champions, and how to sustain confidence in your analytical and communication abilities when external validation disappears. Through candid discussion of setbacks and recovery, you’ll discover practical approaches to managing high-stakes projects, rebuilding after a difficult engagement, or simply looking to develop deeper resilience in your career. Leave with both tactical insights and the reassurance that setbacks are part of the journey for professionals who bridge complexity.
