Presentation: Building a Business Analysis Practice
We live in a time when being adaptive is no longer a matter of choice, it is a matter of survival for many businesses. This affects how the businesses operate and changes the expectations of different roles in organisations – business analysis included. Etienne Wenger states, “Communities of practice are groups of people who share a concern or a passion for something they do and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly. Members of a community of practice are practitioners. They develop a shared repertoire of resources: experiences, stories, tools, ways of addressing recurring problems – in short a shared practice” (http://www.ewenger.com/theory/index.htm.) There are various elements that go into establishing and running a successful practice. This presentation will touch on those components and are purely from my experience. Here is my story of how I built my practice at Yarra Valley Water and how I used these various elements to build and run the practice. BABOK V3 Alignment: To be advised |
