CHIEF HUMANIST | TRANSFORMING CHANGE
Amanda Keenan
Dr Amanda Keenan is a human‑centred transformation leader who works at the intersection of innovation, change, and the lived experience of employees and customers. With a career grounded in curiosity, optimism, humour, and a deep commitment to learning, she brings a distinctly human lens to complex digital environments where clarity is scarce and the map often doesn’t exist.
Amanda specialises in uncovering the real needs, constraints, and motivations of clients, employees, and customers — the insights that shape meaningful change. Her work spans strategic innovation, experience design, and organisational change, helping teams reimagine ways of working and deliver solutions that create genuine value for consumers, employees, and stakeholders.
She has led multidisciplinary teams across the full experience continuum, including strategic, CX/EX, service, UX, and UI practice. Her approach is deeply collaborative, working alongside business analysts, project managers, solution architects, data specialists, and change practitioners to co‑create future‑state experiences that are both technically sound and human‑centred.
Amanda’s practice is built on empathy, evidence, and partnership. She helps organisations navigate ambiguity, align around what matters, and accelerate outcomes that improve both performance and the human experience of work.
Presentation: Reducing roadkill on the digital expressway: how business analysts navigate human impact when the map doesn’t exist
In a world where AI, automation, and rapid transformation outpace organisational understanding, Business Analysts are increasingly the ones steering through uncharted terrain. When the map doesn’t exist, assumptions multiply, workflows fracture, and people become the unintended “roadkill” of digital change. This interactive session reframes BA practice as a strategic, human‑centred discipline that prevents this harm by revealing the real system behind the system — the lived experience of the people who must absorb the change.
Across 60 minutes, participants will work through live prompts, collaborative analysis, and facilitated discussion to explore how BA tools and techniques can be used not just to document requirements, but to Adapt by uncovering hidden work, tacit knowledge, and human impact early; Align by connecting strategy, people, and delivery through evidence‑based insight; and Accelerate by enabling better decisions, clearer direction, and momentum that doesn’t leave people behind.
This session is designed for BAs who see themselves as change leaders, not order takers. You’ll learn how to navigate ambiguity with confidence, influence priorities through human‑centred analysis, and guide organisations safely through the unknown — ensuring that as technology accelerates, people aren’t left on the side of the road.
