Human nature means people often bend the rules or game the system for their own benefit. But in a world that includes AI, it’s not just people who can game the system.
Perverse incentives – reward structures designed to drive a specific positive outcome but instead encourage a negative or opposite behaviour – generally result from change and complexity…. and AI is rapidly changing the world and making solutions more complex. This presentation will discuss how the AI Alignment Problem can exacerbate perverse incentives, and how BAs can take simple steps to ensure AI solutions deliver intended outcomes.
