Presentation: From Rates to Risk: How Finance is Becoming a Business Analysis Problem
Interest rates are no longer solely a finance function concern; they are now a critical input into business analysis and decision-making.
Business Analysts (BAs) are increasingly expected not only to gather requirements, but to actively influence decisions that deliver measurable business value.
In a rapidly fluctuating interest rate environment, organisations face changing funding availability, shifting costs of capital, and increasing indirect cost pressures, all of which impact strategic and operational decisions.
This raises an important question: Are business analysts equipped to interpret and respond to this level of financial complexity?
In this presentation, we explore how the role of the BA might be shifting. We look at practical tools to strengthen the business case, enhance stakeholder alignment and drive better strategic decisions.
Consideration is given to adapting one’s thinking and approach as a BA. To aligning outcomes with financial priorities in a rapidly changing economic landscape. We also give thought to accelerating the adoption of practices and use of techniques that can demonstrate and quantify financial impact.
