DATA GOVERNANCE PRINCIPAL | WESFARMERS
Adrian Bennett
Adrian first ventured into business analysis nearly 30 years ago and has carried these (and data) skills through all the work he has done. He now works in data governance, where many of the skills are transferable.
He is a past chair of the Perth branch of the IIBA and is also the chair of a NFP, so governance is just what he does! He has also obtained the GAICD and AGIA, drawing on his background as a BA.
Presentation:Operating models – Reflections from the journey so far
Operating models underpin many, if not most, of the things we do. Some work and some don’t. Some make it easy and some make it hard. I would like to explore some of these things and how they tie in with a couple of the bodies of knowledge we work with.
Panellist: To Specialise or Generalise: Which Way to BA
Agile Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst—the Business Analyst role is varied. The question is, should you specialise or generalise? This panel will weigh the advantages and disadvantages of focusing on a specific technology, perspective or methodology, and discuss how it may impact your career.
