Anjali Sharma has been working as a ‘Agile Business Analyst and Scrum Master’ with ‘SACE Board of SA’ for last 7 years.

Anjali started my career as a ‘Project officer’ and when she finally left India for Australia, Anjali was managing a team as ‘Lead Tester.’

In Australia, Anjali had to re-start all over again and took up an opportunity to join SACE Board as ‘Tester’ progressed to ‘Lead Tester and finally the BA bug bit her.

In her current role Anjali has managed multiple digital transformation projects ranging from medium to large size.

Presentation: Business Analysis for a digital transformation project in an Agile environment

The presentation will introduce a well curated method of business analysis for a system transformation project in an agile delivery environment. It will provide an insight for someone to understand the expectations from their role as Business analyst and how to apply some of the business analysis tools and techniques to produce artefacts. There will be some materials to share so that people can understand the tips and tricks and can have some takeaways.

I want to briefly introduce the project that has been used as case study and would also like to quickly describe the Agile-Scrum framework adopted in our organization. This will help in setting context of my presentation as I will be using the project as an example throughout my content.

I have divided Business analysis in 4 different phases 1) Analyzing the as-is process 2) Design phase 3) Delivery phase 4) Closure. I will describe each phase by using the What/Why and how technique to make it more consistent and easier for the audience to connect with the content. For each phase I want to emphasize on what artefacts were produced, why those artefacts were important and how did I work my way to produce them. In some phases I also want to share few techniques which I have adopted, and the benefits reaped by implementing them.

I have some real examples which can help audience to visualize the artefacts to be produced and they can also relate it to their own situations. The presentation can help BA’s to build some structure to their method.
