Presentation: Relationship Dynamics: leading with and capitalising on status– in any project environment
This is an interactive workshop to address a key factor in any successful project – relationships. It describes how to expand and redefine leadership to include the recognition, understanding and harnessing of dynamics. It will provide new and advantageous under-the-surface modes of communication and positive influence. Foremost, learning a new definition: Status is something we do, not something we are. As leaders, anyone with whom we interact (be it a fellow project manager, a stakeholder, a sponsor, a vendor), and the dynamics of that interaction, impacts the success of the project.
Exploring proven experiential learning techniques and principles, participants will discover how to optimise their relationships to generate desired results and a successfully executed project. The learning is practiced, modified, and individualized in real-time making it relevant and applicable.
Presentation Value/Learning Points:
Upon completion of this seminar, participants will be able to:
1. Understand relationship dynamics and what influences status
2. Adjust the dynamics to influence others, and ultimately the success of the project
3. Equalise status and build trust with stakeholders, sponsors, and the project team
4. Use relationship dynamics to empower their team
