Presentation: Balanced scorecard: The one for all

When you search for “Top Business Analyst Techniques,” you will find many of them.. Most of the articles you see will include the same essential items, like User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Prototyping, UML PMN, UI/UX, etc. At the same time, you will never find many other great techniques that are not this popular but not less important.

A Balanced Scorecard (BSC) is one of them. It is often seen as a strategic tool, not something each analyst should learn, especially in IT. I massively disagree with such positioning and believe BSC deserves much more attention.

In this session, we will learn the following:

  1. a) how BSC can add significant value in a variety of contexts, not just at the strategic level;
  2. b) how BSC helps Business Analysts connect high-level business goals to specific features;
  3. c) how BSC could help you with your professional development.
