Presentation: Starting our initiatives the right way using engaging visual models
Many organizations start work on initiatives without understanding the real problem that they are trying to solve. Stakeholders are often forgotten or ignored and “dumped” with a solution when it is deployed into production. This leads to frustration, resistance, unfulfilled benefits and often rework.
This session will focus on a simple “Problem Statement Canvas” and uncover an approach that will enable you to successfully achieve the following:
- Quickly uncover and visualise the real problem (s)
- Understand the impact of each problem
- Identify affected stakeholders
- Engage your stakeholders, showing them WIIFT (What’s in it for them)
- Identify a ‘high level’ solution that is fit for purpose
- Utilise simple, yet powerful, visual models to show the big picture
- Build trust by bringing your stakeholders on the journey
- Create Change agents along the way
This approach will enable you to connect with your stakeholders in order to ensure that you deliver solutions that really solve the current problem(s) in a collaborative, transparent and engaging way.
Come along and decide for yourself if these techniques could help you become a better Business Analyst.
