Malini has received 5 Global Excellence Awards from the Business Relationship Management (BRM) Institute and has been featured in their global list of top Business Relationship Managers in 2020 and 2019. She is also the recipient of a highly commended Service Excellence Award from the Department of Health and Human Services (Victoria, Australia).

Malini has served as co-chair of the Women of Colour Network at the Department of Education in Victoria and is deeply committed to promoting diversity in leadership.
