Presentation: Designing for Sustainability: A guide for Business Analysts
Sustainability is often viewed from rather narrow lenses, with the resultant effect being that most sustainability endeavours – even those well-meaning ones – end up being ineffective at best or worse, leads to even more challenges for the executing business and society in general.
Given the demands from citizens and governments that business practices are sustainable and the desired expansion of business bottom-line to include in addition to profits, people (social equity) and the planet (sustainable environmental practices), one cannot overemphasis the need for business to take credible action(s) towards sustainability.
Is there perhaps a model for sustainability?
Perhaps one that delivers on the triple bottom-line, as opposed to one that is narrowly focused on only one of the three?
And what is the role of the business analyst guiding businesses towards sustainability goals or helping establish those?
All of these are themes that will be explored in this presentation.
