Presentation: Me, Myself and I – The Art of Version Controlling Yourself
We all have various versions of ourselves which have been shaped by our own unique experiences and the roles we play in different contexts . Whether as a parent, child, spouse, friend, colleague and even adversary, each of our versions has its own unique traits with both strengths and weaknesses. Understanding these different selves allows us to consciously bring forward the version, or a blend of versions, best suited to a particular situation or audience.
As BAs we often have to play multiple roles depending on the goals of the project and the needs of our stakeholders. We have to be collaborators, communicators, influencers and sometimes even mediators. This talk will explore how to recognise and embrace the different facets of your personal identity, giving you the ability to become whichever ‘you’ that you need to be in order to achieve the best outcomes in any situation.
