Presentation: What’s in a name: Business analysis beyond the title – rethink, reconnect and revolutionise with a broader mindset to challenge conventional thinking

Let’s challenge the idea that business analysis is a job description or job title. Let’s explore the mindset through which we can all work together to deliver value, define needs and enable change. We all need a bigger, bolder and more inclusive mindset to work together on the ideas that can ignite our future. Tom’s experiences as a senior manager and as a technical special have given him a perspective on organisations, leadership and change that provides different reflections and insights on what it can mean to rethink, reconnect and revolutionise the what and the how of business analysis. Businesses are complex webs of systems in which people with all their human traits makes decision, choices, and judgments. Successful change works with that and not against that. At its core we need to design for people, create solutions in which people thrive, and to do that we need to put people first.
